Kanturk:

Kanturk beat Cobh 32-00 in the league. The Kanturk forwards were very strong and the backs looked lively with Mark Healy very impressive pulling the strings. Some Kanturk players played out of position but did an excellent job. Conor O'Donoghue a front row played at openside and was very lively. Dermot Cremin, a prop started at full back and finished at outhalf, looked dangerous everytime he got the ball and was a handful to bring down. Cobh were unlucky on a few occasions and had some impressive players also. Their captain and hooker was good around the field and had an excellent throw. Their no 5 was always looking to upset the Kanturk attack around the maul and ran well with ball in hand and their two wingers were lightening quick and it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if they had got more ball. The game was played in great spirit and was very entertaining for the fans who braved the elements.
